Every summer, our sunflower field turns into a sea of golden faces, all nodding toward the same wide Oregon sky. We plant in generous, wandering rows so families can stroll between the blooms, little ones brushing leaf and stem as they weave in and out of the flowers.
This is where generations come for those once-a-year photos: barefoot kids with missing teeth, grandparents holding hands, couples sneaking a quiet moment on the edge of the field. Come early for soft morning light, or wander in late afternoon when the petals glow like lanterns.
While you are here, you can pause at the edge of the field to watch bees working the blooms, then head over to the farm store for a jar of honey or a cool drink. It is an easy, slow kind of outing - no rush, just room to wander, breathe, and make a few sun-drenched memories together near Eugene.
